"Divorce? No. Murder? Yes." LOL.

there is a really great article in Newsweek about Billy and Ruth Graham. it talks a lot about where they are now, what they are up to, and Billy talks a lot about what he has learned and what he would do different. i really like how he describes going back to the basics in his old age. very cool.

I agree, I read the article as well. I am still a bit confused about his views on Scripture....
When I first read it, I was shocked, but I'm not sure what he means when it states,""There are many things that I don't understand," he says. He does not believe that Christians need to take every verse of the Bible literally; "sincere Christians," he says, "can disagree about the details of Scripture and theology—absolutely." I'm hoping that he was mis-quoted, anyways, it was neat to read about his views at 87 years of age. I hope to someday be that old...

i think if you could ask him, he'd probably say that there are things that cannot be disagreed upon (i.e. jesus divinity), but then there is stuff like end times, pre or post, free will vs predest, drinking, etc. i can think of lots of those items where people will disagree. but it's okay. maybe one is right. maybe the other is. maybe neither. but the non-negotiables are the things that define whether or not we really know god.

it's like st. augustine said:

"in essentials, unity; in non-essentials, diversity; in all things, charity."

actually Augustine popularized it but I think it was a common saying in those days. Again he is the one that popularized it many years ago. I still think it is very appropriate for our day in age or any age for that matter.

But yea I wanted credit.lol
As long as I glory in the Lord.
