am i evil?
i was checking out the news this morning on yahoo.com trying to get some more info about that fool that camped out on the 710 FWY yesterday and caused my 90 minute commute to the pad. instead, i got this crazy piece from PETA about the torture of pigs in captivity.let me just say right now, up front, that i love me some swine. that's some good stuff....
anyways, the video really disgusted me. it showed the atrocities committed against the pigs and how they are treated all the way up to their slaughter. it was bad...really bad. had me looking like britney up there...
so after 6 minutes, i became a vegan. or at least a no-pig-itarian.
fast forward to 11:20am.
i'm over it. sad huh? i realize that although i care and it stinks what is done to these poor animals, i am not really ready to buy flag-print balloon pants (see m.c. hammer website for details) and be a vegan. the saddest thing is that i searched for the word vegan on yahoo's image site, and this is what came up! no joke....
anyways, now, i am thinking that i am a selfish dude that cares more about grubbing than the humane treatment of animals.
i don't know what to do anymore...except maybe stop watching things that make me care.
so what do you guys think?

Hey Al, that "guy" is actually a girl...but I can see how you made that mistake.
Dang Pablo, PETA does a good job convincing you. But when you're hungry...well, you're gonna eat the cow or pig or dog whatever.
I guess I love animals more than Alex but then again, I'm not gonna go on a personal ban on bacon.
And I agree with Alex, we shouldn't 'humanize' them. Nor should we allow the guy next door to put out his cigarettes on his dog's fur. (It happens!)
Personally, it hurts me inside when I've seen video on Animal Planet where they've shot elephants. (On an episode where they're fighting the poaching in Africa) And yeah, they do a good job getting my sympathy on 'Animal Cops' when they've caught the guy that hit his dachshund in the eye with a hammer because he barked at night.
It might be better for you Pablo to stick with Elmo or Sesame Street. Get a jump start on you watching the kid shows before the kid does.
Pork chops do sound great actually....

i don't think that we should humanize them either. but do you at least agree that causing them unnecessary pain is a bad thing?
i am not necessarily against killing an animal for food. take one look at my belly and you know it isn't get that from alfalfa and honey. but maybe we should be making sure that people aren't mistreating them for their whole lives along the way.
