a little off track, wouldn't you say?
i have made a decision for my blog to think positive. in our discussions regarding the gathering, i have come to the same conclusion.we can spend countless hours talking about that is wrong in the Church, blogging away our days about pubs (hee hee) or Pat Robertson, or we can encourage each other through the things that God is speaking to us.
ding ding ding........
so i'm switching gears here. i will be exclusively talking about my experiences with God...and motorcycles of course. :)
so let me start here.
a few days ago, sonia and i were riding to 'the gathering' with sammy and kristin and we were talking about gema's new house that she is buying. it needs a little work apparently, so we thought it would be a cool idea to see if we could get 'the gathering' involved and do some work on her house...and landscaping! kristin called her and she was VERY happy.
the older i get, the more simple my christianity becomes. a rake and some Lysol are all i need to love someone. i am typing right now and i feel in my heart, in my spirit, more joy over being able to help gema than some mission trips or whatevers i have been a part of. i feel connected with the heartbeat of god in a very simple yet profound way.
last night, for valentine's day, sonia and i had burgers and heart shaped Reeses. that was infinitely better than a Houston's hawaiian rib eye with a woman that doesn't see into my soul the way sonia does.
i don't plan on sewing myself a burlap coat anytime soon, but i do see myself "deconstructing" ME. simplicity...authenticity...love.

Very good Pablo,
I think we all should see the good that God is doing in his church. I need to learn and relearn this lesson. I use to always say, "The problem with the church today is..." but God brought me to Gateway, the only perfect church. jk. He did bring me to a community of pretty cool people though. Pablo, Steve, Yepiz, Mike K, Fisher, Sonia, Lila, Mona, etc. My list can go on for days but then I have to eat and drink and be merry.
Soli deo gloria!!!
Thanks yall for being a great bunch.
Awsome Pablo!

alex, you'll get to that point someday and you'll eat fat steaks and sushi. Then you'll realize you can get a Costco polish sausage for a buck and you'll be back to square one.
