hectic times
it is coming along very well. we are in the final stages of getting things put away and making our house look a little nicer. we haven't put anything up on the walls yet, so the whole place looks a little plain. we are working on that.
my main goal for this week is to finish wiring my network, my phones, and the television cables into my wiring closet. i need to have them done by this weekend because they come on the weekend to hook up our services. i have been a little lax on the blogging because we have had no internet, but that will end shortly.
i'm pretty excited about my wiring closet. i have all of my phone lines and all of my network and television cables going to the same place. that is like magic to me. plus, the phone and directv people are going to love me for making their work easy. all they need is to give me a hot line it will give me services to all of my house. i'm pretty proud of that. especially after having spent like 3 hours under the house in the dark...i was scared man. crawl spaces are not a good place to be when you are fat like me...
so in addition to the house stuff, i am pretty excited to be driving only 4 miles to work now instead of 26. not bad. it took me 12 minutes to get home from Pasadena on my bike.
i hit the gym again for the first time in like 10 months yesterday. i got in a good workout after work and still only made it back home about 15 minutes later than i would have driving to whittier. not bad. gotta drop that weight i gained in whittier.
the other night my cousin karla dropped by to see the house. she made it to marengo and main before someone ran a red light and nailed her car. everyone was alright, but karla was a little shaken up. her car is pretty jacked. it'll probably be a total loss. we'll see. she spent the night with us and i drove her back to school this morning.
hectic times...but good.
