growing the ALH - an overview

as if we needed more traffic, the City of Alhambra is going forward at a breakneck pace to develop the heck out of the city. i'm not sure if you read the around alhambra (BTW, check out the massive typo on that site...LOL) or ever check their website, but there are some major projects coming down the pipe.

1) The new Civic Center / Library project - this is a $25 million project to relocate the current library and create a new Civic Center and a 45,000 square foot bi-level library. Yay for Gabriel.

2) West Corridor Development - This is in the EIR stage, which is the Environmental Impact Report. Pretty self explanitory title. They want to take 2 city blocks, 200-400 W. Main i.e. the Auto Kraft joint area) and make approx 500 condo or business units. Can you say more traffic?

3) The Monterey Park Atlantic Times Square Project - This is technically outside of our borders in the ALH, but it butts up against them at Hellman and Atlantic. This is due to impact our traffic flow significantly as well. 221K square feet of business and 20o condos. Dang yo...

I only have 2 things to say about all of this...more people to love, and build that 710!!!!!!!
