GOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the whirlwind of my life is finally settling down a little. there are some pretty crazy things happening, but i finally feel in control again.

gabriel has been sleeping pretty well. he doesn't sleep through the night or anything, but he is getting much better. son and i have been sleeping more, and after some nice naps in the daytime, we are doing well.

i have been watching tons of world cup games. i had forgotten how great of a game soccer is. galaxy, here i come!!

i have been hitting the gym every day. i feel much better than i did a few weeks back. i don't think i processed the stress of work, commutes, and the impending death of my non-dad life very well. i gained a lot of weight and was tired all of the time. but i am back on the wagon and hopefully will continue after i go back to work monday.

bobby and sandy duran had their baby on monday via c-section because of some complications. we are going to go see them later. please pray for them and the baby, they are not totally out of the woods yet. pray for the baby to be healthy despite his premature birth, and for sandy's speedy recovery.

my blog hiatus (if you can call it that) will end soon too. i have pretty much slowed everything down the last 2 weeks. but i am ready to tackle life again.

thanks everybody for your prayers and support.

it is funny that I just read these comments...I just got home from a doctor's appointment to find Ben watching the World Cup...and he is definitely not foreign born:) I guess the generalization doesn't hold up too well. Pablo, glad to hear that things are starting to feel normal again. I'll call to chat with Sonia soon!

get rid of offsides? should we let them use their hands too? maybe we should let them hit the ball with a bat and get fat and out of shape. oh my bad, that's baseball...

and fr the record, the penalty that led to the free kick and ghana's second GOL was ridiculous. were they trying to give the game to ghana or did they do it by mistake.

it looked like one of dwyane wade's 55 trips to the free throw line. BOGUS.

world cup action is exciting. you guys don't know what you're talking about.

i am feeling very beaner since the begining of this tourney. i bought me some warachi's and a pickup truck with a cow sticker this morning!!

the real reason that you don't like soccer Yep is that you are slowly trying to become white. sorry to break it you homie, but you can't un-bean yourself. you're stuck with us hermano!

he's right danielle. mecha then is much different from mecha now. they are pretty militant. all of the encounters i have had with mecha heads have been negative.
