American Idiots

how does america vote to keep katharine mcphee over chris daughtry? HUH??? seriously though, america has no idea what talent is, and what talent is not. talent is: a guy that can rock the mic under any circumstances. talent is not: that awesome pouty face katharine makes at the end of every performance that so easily draws in the fellas (me included). we have to SNAP OUT OF IT america, she's like the snake in the garden!!

when they said that chris and katharine were in the bottom two, i celebrated. i was so excited that katharine was finally going home. i was shocked at the level of 1) idiots that reside in our country or 2) prepubecent boys running up their momma's cell phone bill voting for the mcphever.

seriously though, america just jumped the shark.

did you vote?

my guess is most people that 1) care, 2) watch the show, 3) know what's up ... don't vote.

what is it ... over 25 mil that view the show every week? no way even half of them actually vote!

you guys get sick of me saying it, i know, but when it comes to voting (i guess about almost anything), america is ignorant (don't know) and apathetic (don't care).

I think that everyone who votes is dumb enough to make Katherine the winner.

OK, so apparently John Podhoretz read my comment and created a whole article out of it in the New York Post entitled 'IDOL' SPECULATION. ;)

He says, "If you want to understand "Idol," you need to understand American politics."

A couple of excerpts...
The key to winning "American Idol" isn't being overwhelmingly popular in the early stages. The key is having a sound that makes it possible for you to pick up votes from people whose favorites have gotten booted off the show. Because if you don't get those votes, somebody else is going to get them.

Elliot has been gaining strength both because his performances have been good, and because he's clearly picked up support from the fans of eliminated contestants Paris, Kellie Pickler and Ace Young. So where does this leave the final three in "American Idol"? It's likely that McPhee will be the odd person out next week, leaving front-runner Taylor Hicks and under-the-radar Elliot left to duke it out for the title.

He goes on to predict the next American Idol. I won't spoil it, but Pablo, you'll be very happy.
