viva mexico!!

so we went to playa mal paso, mexico this past weekend with the college group of gateway. playa mal paso is about 30 minutes south of Rosarito. it only costs $10 per car per night to camp there on the weekends, but you get what you pay for. we literally camped on the sand, just about 150 feet from the water. the bathrooms were kinda nasty, and the showers were nothing more than glorified water hoses. but i love vacations like that, because i can relax and forget that the pace of my life is ridiculous. at least for a few days, i live like a mexican (i even threw my toilet paper in the trash like a good little mexican). but the water was REALLY cold. worse than at home, which was a surprise to all of is. HIGHLIGHT: fireworks that would have been considered illegal in the states almost hitting art in the head and lighting him on fire like michael jackson in that pepsi commercial. LOWLIGHT: sunburn
